Application of Microcontroller on Main Engine Lube Oil Temperature Alarm System
Abstract
Lubricating oil is the critical items that applied to the engine. The temperature of the lub oil must be well taking care in order to keep the engine at safe condition. This paper is to elaborate about Main Engine Lubricating oil High Temperature Alarm. For this project, we are using a microcontroller unit (MCU), LCD display and a sensor as a main component to the system. These design were simulated using the Proteus software and then later to implement and test in the hardware models. The program has then compiled in PIC C Compilers, and were programmed into the microcontroller using a programmer for PIC 8-bit microcontrollers. This paper will show the sensing and the alarm system works. The alarm will triggered if the temperature is exceed to the setting temperature. The advantage of these system is to give an alert to the watch keeper to ensure the condition of main engine is at minimum risk
